It's a Boy!
We had our anatomy scan ultrasound this week, and found out, to our great surprise, that Nugget will not be the "Baby Sister" that Hope has been talking about for months. We were overjoyed to see him flipping and spinning, even as the ultrasound tech complained about how hard he was to photograph. I didn't mind one bit, especially as every comment about his growth and development was positive. My favorite shots were of him sucking his thumb--it makes it so much easier to imagine that this little guy will soon be a baby among us!
After the scares we had early on, it finally feels safe to start true baby planning. This weekend, I ordered a baby book, started a name list (we had tons of girl names picked out but were very low on the other side), and put some clothing consignment sales on the calendar for the spring. It seemed about time that the little man got his own blog so that we can record special memories for him like I've been able to do for Hope. I'm sure I won't be able to mimic the pace or sheer volume of Hope photos, videos and posts for our second child, but I'm going to do my best to preserve something for posterity.
